Much like the first team, the Reserves began their season with huge optimism of challenging for promotion. Absolom's side stayed unbeaten in the league until the middle of November when they went down to Challow.
An impressive start to the league campaign saw home wins over both Childrey and Wootton Reserves, topped off with the cup win over division 3 Faringdon Town Reserves. However, despite Mark Porter's goals the side were still struggling to find the net and drawing too many games.
Unfortunately the defeat at Challow marked a downturn in form for Inter's second string, starting a 7 game winless run. Further league defeats to Hanney, Long Wittenham Reserves and Botley all but ended the promotion push.
In the Reading Evening Post Cup the side had been reinstated into the tournament after Henley Reserves had been found guilty of playing ineligible players. Absolom's side went on to brush aside Mortimer and reach the Semi Finals but were beaten by a strong OLA Newbury to deny them a dream cup final appearance.
Division 2 Shrivenham 'A' ended the sides hopes in both the AG Kingham and Berks & Bucks Junior Cups but not with disgrace.
League form continued to be inconsistent with good wins over Uffington and Steventon Reserves but poor defeats to Stanford and Grove Reserves.
On the plus side the team are moving in the right direction and the partnership of Martyn Whell and Andy Corderoy at the back has been promising. If the side can find some consistency next season and start finishing teams off, Absolom will hopefully be pushing for promotion.
